One of those experiences that starts off great from the moment you sit, when they quickly bring you toasted native corn and what I believe was corn beer. The service was reserved and kind to me, as I was alone and somewhat quiet. Yet it was engaging and fun to tables next to that were more talkative.
I had the Alpaca tenderloin with quinoa risotto and it was a perfect first meal in Cusco. Presentation was great and flavors even better. The Jugo Mixto was the best juice I had in Cusco, of which I had many.
For those that want Cuy, I watched then bring it out cooked but whole, so you could see it or take a picture, then they bring it back to the kitchen and quickly portion it for you.
This is the type of place that wants you to love your meal. I did. Great job.
Amazing restaurant with attentive and informative staff. It's sometimes rare to find a place that embraces how important food is to a culture and to also teach you about it. If we ever find ourselves in Cusco again Deva will be a first choice for dinner. Please don't pass this place up if you're on holiday.
