This restaurant is hidden in a small patio-style nook among the Cusco streets. We chose this restaurant to have our dinner. Stepping into this dimly lit restaurant was slightly reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. Decoration is eclectic-chic and modern throughout, including their restroom facilities. The restaurant was very clean.
My wife ordered the chicken and I ordered the traditional steak. Both dishes came with salad and choice of side.
When our dinner dishes arrived, the presentation was beautiful. The meat was set on a hot stone and the side dishes separately. As we are ones to begin eating as our food arrives, we cut into our meat and noticed it was slightly undercooked. This was an oversight on our part and NOT a deterrent, however, as one is expected to start with the salad and let the meat finish cooking on the hot stone. We definitely had a lightbulb moment: thats why it was presented on the hot stone rather than a simple plate!
It took but a couple of minutes for the meat to be ready at our liking, and it was most certainly worth it. Our food was plentiful and the meat was quite succulent.
We had the chocolate madness for dessert. My wife and I are chocolate lovers and we were beyond satisfied with this choice! It was hands down the best dessert we induldged in during out stay in Cusco. I now measure my life as before and after I experienced this dessert (hyperbole).
Overall, beautiful experience, beautiful and unique restaurant.

One of the best places in Cusco for dinner! Loved the “mistura de carnes a la piedra” which is a stone grilled meat dish. My choice: lamb, alpaca and chicken. All the sauces were great, salad was delicious and the “rejillas de camote" (sweet potato) were the perfect choice. Can't say enough... I totally recommend UCHU!!!
Incredible quality at a very reasonable price. The alpaca tenderloin on hot stone is amazing - cooked however you like it best.
