El Albergue is nestled just off the train platform in Ollantaytambo. Its gardens, rooms, restaurant and organic farm provide a peaceful retreat for your trip to or from Machu Picchu. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a great jumping off point for visiting many of the sites in the Sacred Valley (the ruins of the Ollantaytambo Fortress are just a short walk from the hotel). Be sure to ask about the eucalyptus wood fired sauna (it's complimentary and can be booked through the front desk). The Albergue also encompasses an organic farm (which provides food for their restaurant operations), a distillery (be sure to try the Caña Alta), and a coffee roastery. The staff is happy to set you up with a tour, worth spending an hour or two checking it all out. Be sure to book a traditional Pachamanca lunch on the farm for full experience (the lunch must be booked a day in advance). You won't be disappointed in the food or the experience.

We are not staying at this hotel, but read great reviews about the restaurant and our tour guide recommended it. It was absolutely amazing! The food and drinks were spectacular. Gerson, our waiter, was the BEST!!!!! If you go here, ask for him. Three of us had the Passionfruit(I can’t remember the Spanish name) Sour. It was delicious. My husband had the beer sampler,on recommendation from Gerson, and he loved it. I had the lasagna and it was fantastic. My mom had the vegetarian lasagna & it was incredible. My dad had the alpaca with chimchurri sauce & it was really good. My husband had the peanut sauce stew and it was very good! We had cheesecake for dessert and it was spectacular as well. Highly recommend dining here if you are in town. Again, ask for Gerson...he’s the best waiter!

Superb hotel on the station at Ollantaytambo. Our room overlooked the station platform where the trains leave for Machu Picchu. Wonderful experience. Great food in the restaurant. Wouldn’t have missed the experience.

The Albergue feels like a sanctuary, it's the most unique property in Ollanta. The food and service in the restaurant are both wonderful, and the entire staff is friendly and accommodating. I also highly recommend spending time in the gardens, both on the main property and up the path to the distillery, where they make their own caña and roast their own coffee! Absolute paradise. :)

Charmant cadre dans cette gare de l'époque. La cuisine est délicieuse Distrayant avec le va et vient des trains devant la fenêtre.

We've had great food in Peru, and as a former resident of the country I can truly say I've never had better than at El Albergue. Don't miss it!

I absolutely loved this hotel and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant on site twice because the food was delicious, healthy and straight from their farm. We also did the farm tour and meal, which I highly recommend. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable, but my favorite part was the setting of the hotel. It was such a relaxing place to be after a long, full day of hiking Machu Picchu. The gardens were so green and full of a lush plant palette, which made it the perfect spot to chill on one of their hammocks. The staff were super helpful to us also. We ended up needing to stay at their sister hotel (El Balcón) a night earlier than expected and they helped us sort this out, provided us with transportation to and from the hotel (complimentary one way), and helped us book our taxi to the airport at 5 in the a.m. Oh, and the breakfast was made to order and also complimentary - AMAZING. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The Sacred Valley holds the Albergue and the Albergue graciously holds its visitors in the same way. This place is full of heart and grace and good food (!) and I will return again and again!!

La comida es riquisima y el hotel tiene todo con lo que uno sueña, destilería, huerto, granja, torrado de café. Espectacular! 100% recomendable.
